Having a Wedding at Asbury
Our sanctuary at Asbury UMC provides a beautiful setting in which to hold your wedding ceremony, with air-conditioning in the summer months. Our hope is that each couple who would like to get married will also desire to become a part of our church family. But Pastor Dan will marry any man and woman who meets with him for a session of pre-marital counseling and to go over the wedding ceremony. (He reserves the right to only marry couples who are emotionally compatible, though it is extremely rare that he would need to exercise this right.)
Our church has established the following payment schedule for weddings done in our church building, which covers all expenses,
including clergy, organist and custodial fees, building usage and the use of candles that run down the center aisle:
Member of Asbury UMC: $250
Non-Member of Asbury UMC: $450
Once a $200 deposit (non-refundable) is received then the day and time for the wedding is secured on the church calendar. The balance of payment is due at the wedding rehearsal. Checks can be made out to "Asbury United Methodist Church".
There is an additional fee if the fellowship hall is to be used.
